Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has informed that the per capita income of the people of Rayalaseema is more than the state average per capita income.

Chandrababu, from Amaravati on Tuesday, addressed a teleconference with the District Collectors on Janmabhoomi-MaaVooru programme. He has stated that the state per capita income is Rs 1,22,000 and Lingala mandal in Kadapa district of Rayalaseema per capita income is Rs. 3,90,000.

The day of making Rayalaseema as Ratanalaseemais very near, he said and expressed confidence on it. The Chief Minister explained that the per capita income in the Lingala mandalwas raised tremendously when compared to other mandals in the state.

The reason for the development was identified as growing horticulture crops. Availability of 40 tmc ftwater in the reservoirs of Kadapa district is an advantage for the horticulture crops, he observed.

The Chittoor district has been developing as a hub of horticulture crops and also in industrial sector. Anantapuram district became as an industrial hub and the entire Rayalaseema has been developing, Chandrababu Naidu claimed.

He has stated that every farmer in the state should get at least Rs. 3 lakh to Rs. 4 lakh in an agriculture year. The net cultivated area increased to one lakh acres in Srikakulam district in this year, he observed.

He directed the officials to prepare plans for MahaSangamam by linking all the rivers from Srikakulam to Nellore districts in the state. He said that like the Pavitra Sangamam created by linking Godavari River water in Krishna River at Ibrahimpatnam near Vijayawada in Krishna district, the MahaSangamam should be completed as early as possible.

Chandrababu Naidu stated that completion of thirty projects within three years was a history and the same spirit should be continued for the remaining irrigation projects works.
