National Voters’ Day on Jan 25
The National Voters’ Day will be celebrated in Amaravati on January 25. District Collector Lakshmikantham said that Governor ESL Narasimhan would participate in the celebrations.
Vijayawada: The National Voters’ Day will be celebrated in Amaravati on January 25. District Collector Lakshmikantham said that Governor ESL Narasimhan would participate in the celebrations.
He was addressing the systematic voters’ education and electoral participation programme at Pundit Nehru Bus Station here on Thursday. The Collector said the youth who completed 18 years of age can enroll as voter. He also said the government has set up special enrollment centres at railway station, bus station and shopping malls.
He observed the voter enrollment is not matching the population in various constituencies.On the occasion, Shunshane Events and Dance Academy students staged a ballet explaining the importance of vote. Several officials were also present at the programme.
