In a generous act, the family of an accident victim at Ajit Singh Nagar, decided to donate the body organs. According to information, James Williams, 32, of Ajit Singh Nagar met with an accident on Wednesday and he was declared brain dead after he was admitted to a corporate hospital in Vijayawada.

According to information, James Williams, 32, of Ajit Singh Nagar met with an accident on Wednesday and he was declared brain dead after he was admitted to a corporate hospital in Vijayawada.
The family members of Williams on Thursday decided to donate the organs those who are in need. Heart and lungs were donated to Global Hospital, Chennai, liver was donated to Manipal Hospital, Vijayawada. Eyes to Vasan Hospital, two kidneys were donated to two hospitals in Vijayawada and Guntur.
James met with accident while he was returning from work. A speeding car hit two-wheeler which was riding by Williams near Sikhamani Centre injuring him. He was immediately shifted to a corporate hospital where he was declared brain dead.
Meanwhile, the city police helped for speedy transportation of organs. They provided a green corridor to reach some organs to Gannavaram Airport from where it was airlifted to Chennai in a special chopper arranged by the respective hospitals. Suryaraopet police registered a case and began probe into the mishap which claimed the life of Williams.
