Nellore: Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana has informed that Andhra Pradesh stands first among all states in grounding industries according to a report of the NITI AAYOG. Narayana along with Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy participated in ‘Mega Ground Mela’ in connection with the ongoing Janmabhoomi-Maa Vooru’ programme held at Kasturba Kalakshetram here on Thursday.

Addressing the meeting, Narayana said that the state government has been implementing developmental works and welfare schemes for the uplift of poor. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu keen to develop the state on all fronts, he added.

Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy has stated the government had sanctioned Rs 13.97 crore for SC Corporation, Rs 24 crore for BC Corporation, Rs 29 crore for the Minority department, and Rs 20 crore for Kapu Corporation under NTR Bharosa Scheme. Telugu Desam government has achieved excellent progress within 3 years when compared to the previous regime, he added.

Joint Collector A Md Imtiaz Ahmed said that the administration has distributed assets to the beneficiaries during the Mega Ground Mela. The Collector informed 1,105 village meetings were conducted in 895-gram panchayats and in 219 municipal divisions as part of Janmabhoomi programme, said the Joint Collector. Meetings were successfully conducted in all villages, he said.

NUDA Chairman K Srinivasulu Reddy, Joint Collector-2 Venkata Subba Reddy, Municipal Commissioner Alim Basha, Corporators Z Siva Prasad, former legislator M Sridhar Krishna Reddy and others were present.
