High Court orders on cock-fights should be followed: Collector

Kakinada: District collector Kartikeya Misra said High Court’s orders prohibiting cockfights should be followed strictly without any deviation in the district.

While addressing the police and revenue officials of mandal and divisional level though the video conference at the collectorate here on Thursday, he said that the government was very serious in implementing the court orders ,which attracts penal action in case of violation and prohibitory orders under CrPC Section 144 were in force from January 7.

They will continue till January 24. Joint mandal teams consisting of revenue ,police ,members of animal welfare board , non-governmental organisatins were constituted to monitor and to take action on violations, he said.
