Vijayawada: Artistes from Sri Lanka will perform traditional dance programme SAMHARA. The dance is tailored beautifully by bringing together the elements of pure nritta and natya. The cultural programme will be organised by Chitrasena, a Sri Lankan Dance Academy, at Sri Ramalingeswara Swamy temple in Yanamalakuduru on the outskirts of the city at 5.45 pm on Monday.

This creative and experimental production is essentially a conversation between the two dance styles Odissi and Kandyan (a traditional dance form from Sri Lanka). The artistic director of Nrityagram – Surupa Sen, Bijayini Satpathy, Pavithra Reddy, Akshiti Roychowdhury and Urmila Mallick-will perform. It is supported by a grand live orchestra, said organisers in a press release here on Sunday.
