Kurnool will emerge as sports hub: TG Venkatesh
Rajya Sabha MP TG Venkatesh has said that Kurnool would become a hub for all sports in Andhra Pradesh. Sports create lots of opportunities to the athletes besides strengthening them mentally and physically, he said.

The MP participated as chief guest on the inaugural programme of 20th national Sub-Junior Sepak takraw (kick volleyball) competitions at Montessori Gurukul School ground here on Tuesday. On the occasion, TG Venkatesh said that every student should take part at least in one game.
By participating in the sports; he or she will gain good health. The MP assured that he would strive to transform Kurnool into a “Sports City”, so that more championship games can be conducted. MLC and Chairman for All India Kabbadi Organisation K E Prabhakar has said that 500 athletes and 100 coaches from 28 states across the country are taking part in the national event.
Bharatha Sepak Takraw Association President S Prem Raj, national secretary Yogendra Singh Daya, Kurnool MLA SV Mohan Reddy, Montessori Educational Institutions director Rajasekhar and others participated in the inaugural function.
