Man dies in miscreants’ attack, his mother hurt
Some unidentified persons entered the house of one Lakshmi Devi at E Thandrapadu village and attacked her and her son with knives on Monday evening.
Kurnool: Some unidentified persons entered the house of one Lakshmi Devi at E Thandrapadu village and attacked her and her son with knives on Monday evening. In the incident, Lakshmi Devi’s son died on the spot and she received serious injuries. According to the available information, Lakshmi Devi (52) is living with her son Suresh (25) in their native village E Thandrapadu.
They are eking out livelihood as daily wage earners. It is learnt that Suresh was addicted to vices besides having an illegal affair with a woman of the same village. Suresh was also said to be harassing his mother for want of money. Mother and son used to quarrel frequently.
In the attack, Suresh died immediately. Lakshmi Devi received injuries when she had come to the rescue of her son. After the attack, the assailants fled the scene even while the villagers were watching.
Lakshmi Devi was shifted to Kurnool General Hospital and is undergoing treatment. Kurnool DSP S Khader Basha rushed to the spot and enquired about the incident. He said that a case was filed and took up investigation. The DSP assured of villagers of catching the culprits.
