Air India Express is launching Vijayawada-Mumbai non-stop services from Friday onwards. With the launching of services, Vijayawada city will get connectivity to all metro cities of India except Kolkata. Vijayawada Airport has connectivity to Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Vizag and other cities. 

Vijayawada: Air India Express is launching Vijayawada-Mumbai non-stop services from Friday onwards. With the launching of services, Vijayawada city will get connectivity to all metro cities of India except Kolkata. Vijayawada Airport has connectivity to Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Vizag and other cities.

The Air India Express flight will arrive at 9.45 am and depart from Vijayawada Airport at 10.30 am. Before that the Air India Express flight will start at 8 am in Mumbai and reach Vijayawada by 9.45 am. The airlines is operating services three days in a week on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, according to schedule announced by the Airlines.

Union Minister for Civil Aviation P Ashok Gajapati Raju will formally launch the Air India Express services at the Airport on Friday. Thousands of passengers, who travel to Gulf countries and western countries, will be benefited with the launching of direct flight to Mumbai.

Besides, corporate people, traders, students and tourists can also avail the non-stop facility to Mumbai. So far, these passengers are going to Hyderabad and boarding other flights to reach Mumbai. Henceforth, they can directly go to Mumbai and save precious time.

The Air India is also planning to expand the services to Gulf countries after the immigration office works are completed in Vijayawada Airport. Customs department had already trained 50 officers and staff to start services at the airport.
