Addressing a media conference at Gosamrakshana Samiti office on Thursday, Satyanarayana said that on January 21, the centenary celebrations will be inaugurated, and 108 couples will perform ‘gopuja’. Later, beauty contest for cows would be conducted on the samiti premises.
Cultural programmes will follow the contest and puja, he added. On January 22, the Visakha Sarada Peetham pontiff Swaroopanandendra Saraswati will deliver spiritual prophecy.
On the occasion of centenary celebrations, essay writing competitions for students on Gomatha–Mana Samskriti would be conducted. Awareness meeting among the farmers on the cow-based agriculture, ‘Jeevamritam - Panchagavya’ manufacturing display, South Indian Goshala Sevaks Sammelan will be conducted on January 24, he added.
Samiti general secretary Munagala Naga Venkata Muralikrishna, administrative secretary Manepalli Rama Rao and others participated in the media conference.
