Vijayawada: Pre-Engineered Structures Society of India (PSI) will organise a three-day national conference cum exhibition ‘PEPSCON 2018’ (Pre-Engineered and Pre Cast Concrete Structures) at VR Siddhartha Engineering College, Kanuru from January 19 to 21.

More than 300 delegates from various states will attend the national conference. Addressing the media here on Wednesday, PSI Chairman P Surya Prakash said that conference is aimed at creating awareness among the engineers on the latest technology used in construction sector.

He stressed the need to promote precast concrete and pre-engineered steel buildings in the capital region of Amaravati for the construction of government offices at an affordable cost.

Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB) Vice- Chairman SP Tucker will participate in the inaugural session and Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu will participate in the discussion on ‘Emerging Modern Construction Technologies’ on January 20, he added. Nearly, 40 stalls will be arranged to display the latest technology in the field of construction, he informed.

Organising secretary CA Prasad said entry is free and felt that engineers, developers, consultants, builders, architects and engineering students can attend the expo to be aware of modern technology and trends taking place in the field of construction.
