Patient who attempted suicide dies
A patient, who attempted suicide by slitting his throat with a blade at the Government Chest Hospital inPeda Waltair in the city on Thursday, died while undergoing treatment.
Visakhapatnam: A patient, who attempted suicide by slitting his throat with a blade at the Government Chest Hospital in Peda Waltair in the city on Thursday, died while undergoing treatment.
According to ThreeTown Police Station, he was identified as Yelamanchili Srinu, a resident in Cheedikada mandal of Visakhapatnam. He was admitted to the chest hospital for treatment as an in-patient last week.
He wanted to meet his family members on Sankranthi but due to their absence, he was upset and tried to commit suicide in hospital. The hospital staff rushed him to the King Gorge Hospital in the city.
The KG Hospital doctors treated him and referred him to the Government ENT Hospital for throat surgery. Earlier, speaking to the media, superintendent of ENT Hospital Dr Raghunath said that the patient condition is stable but he died on Thursday late night
