Telugu Velugu Vyasa Manjusha, a book authored by retired Telugu lecturer Dr Aripirala Narayana Rao was released under the aegis of Shrunmandali in a programme held at Datla Subhadrayamma Auditorium here on Saturday. Narayana Rao brought Telugu Velugu programmes in the form of a book with 1,000 pages conducted from 1985.

Narayana Rao brought Telugu Velugu programmes in the form of a book with 1,000 pages conducted from 1985.

Participating in the meeting, Adikavi Nannaya University registrar Dr KS Ramesh said Telugu department played keyrole to obtain NAAC recognition to YSN College in which he worked there for a long period. Dr Narayana Rao preserved all his Telugu Velugu programmes in CDs which was recognised by NAAC team and now, brought them in a book form.

Urban MLA Dr Akula Satyanarayana said Telugu Velugu Vyasya Manjusha will help a lot for the development of Telugu language and underlined the need to bring more books in Telugu language. Anyone can elevate themselves, who knows about their mother tongue, he said.

Dr Narayana Rao is putting his endeavour in digitalising valuable books in Gowthami Regional Library and asked him to continue his efforts for Telugu in future also.

Dr Aripirala Narayana Rao said with the help of YSN College secretary Dr N Satyanarayana Rao Telugu Velugu programmes were conducted in a massive scale. Urban MLA Dr A Satyanarana came forward to republish biography of Kandukuri Veeresalingam Panthulu and now extending his support for the digitalisation of books in Gowthami Regional Library.

Eminent doctor Karri Rama Reddy presided over the meeting and Surya daily editor VSS Krishna Kumar anchored the programme. Former MLA Routhu Suryaprakasa Rao, former MLC Kandula Durgesh, literary critic Yerrapragada Rama Krishna, Dr PV Murali Krishna, former income tax officer Oleti Ramavataram, Jora Sharma, Ashok Kumar Jain, GR Rao PVSK Rao and PN Rao were present.
