CPI State council member G Obulesu has criticised the BJP-led NDA government for adopting double standards in establishment of steel plant in Kadapa district.
Kadapa: CPI State council member G Obulesu has criticised the BJP-led NDA government for adopting double standards in establishment of steel plant in Kadapa district.
Speaking to the media here on Friday, the CPI leader demanded the Modi government to make an official announcement for laying foundation stone to steel plant.
Obulesu came down heavily on the central government for delaying setting up the steel plant by forming committees. The CPI leader stated that the union government is neglecting the development of Rayalaseema and north coastal districts.
He further said that his party is planning to take up an agitation with the demand of allocating net availability of Krishna water to Rayalaseema districts.
Several issues related to the Kadapa district would be discussed in the state-level party convention which will be held from April 6-10 in Kadapa, he added. CPI district secretary Eswaraiah and other party leaders were present.
