Pollution-free plant to come up in Taduvai village

Eluru: West Godavari Collector K Bhaskar said that pollution-free industries like textiles or electronic goods manufacturing unit will be established in Taduvai village in Jeelugumilli mandal.

Reviewing the R and R package of Polavaram displaced and other projects at Collectorate here on Saturday, the collector said about 10,000 people would get employment directly or indirectly if the pollution-free industries set up at the rehabilitation colonies of Polavaram displaced people in Taduvai.

He directed officials to take steps in this direction and allot land for the industry.
The houses with all basic amenities would be constructed to accommodate 60,000 people in the colony. He said the rehabilitation colonies would be constructed under the direct supervision of five departments for the displaced people.

Every colony would have quality roads and it would be linked to national highway, he said and added shopping complex, community hall and other modern facilities would also be provided in these colonies.

The R and B, panchayatraj, housing, tribal welfare, social welfare and other engineering departments should construct the modern housing colony in time. He directed officials to submit comprehensive information every day to him.

He said soon a meeting with Polavaram displaced people on the rehabilitation housing colonies with irrigation secretary will be held. Joint collector P Koteswara Rao, special collector Bhanu Prasad, housing project director E Srinivas, Panchayatiraj SE K Manikyam R and B SE Nirmala participated in the meeting.
