Amaravati: TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu clarified to the party leaders and Ministers at the party coordination committee meeting on Saturday held at Interim Government Complex, that government will go to the Supreme Court if required to solve the problems pertaining to AP Reorganisation Act 2014.

The issues in the ninth and schedule of the Act have been kept pending and to resolve them the State government has every right to go to court, he observed. If the institutions, government companies and corporations listed in the ninth and 10th schedule were divided properly between the two successor states AP and TS, then AP will get more revenue, Naidu told his party leaders.

Chandrababu Naidu added that some of the leaders of opposition parties were misinterpreting the comments he made during the Collectors conference. He pointed out that he did not say anything against the Central government during the two-day conference.

In the party meeting, he again raised the comments made by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao against Andhra leaders regarding Hyderabad’s development. Chandrababu Naidu stated that KCR was misleading the public. He said that there was no truth in KCR’s criticism on Andhra leaders. AP leaders helped in development of Hyderabad, he added.

Taking serious note on involvement of TDP MLAs in cockfights, Chandrababu Naidu directed them not to indulge in such activities. He warned leaders for encouraging cockfights during Sankranti festival. Chandrababu Naidu ridiculed MLAs for participating, delivering speeches, claiming leadership for organising and giving photos to media at the cockfights.

The cockfights were organised in different districts due to the involvement of political leaders who encouraged them, Naidu said.

The Chief Minister expressed happiness over the large turnout of people during Janmabhoomi-Maa Vooru programme. This indicated that there was no dissatisfaction among people on the party and government. Naidu exhorted party legislators to further improve their style of functioning and take measures to solve people’s problems.

Referring to the feedback received from across the State on the performance of MLAs, Chandrababu Naidu stated that the party was strong in 120 to 130 Assembly constituencies. People in all these constituencies were completely in favour of the TDP, he pointed out.

In the remaining 40 plus constituencies, a special attention should be paid to improve the satisfaction levels of the local people. Assembly constituencies directly under the control of MLAs were strong and the party needs to strengthen itself in constituencies led by in-charges, he said.

Districts in-charge Ministers were directed to study the situations in the identified weak Assembly constituencies and give feedback on specific areas to strengthen them.
