Visakhapatnam: Chairman of Vignan Group Dr Lavu Rathaiah pointed out that the NASSCOM and the media has been unnecessarily highlighting that there is a skill gap in Indian students and they are not fit for employment, however, the same rejected youth successfully moving to other developed nations. Instead of looking for the skills, look for the capacity to learn skills, Rathaiah appealed the HR personnel and the companies.

Vignan Group of Engineering and Pharmacy Institutions and Society for Human Resources Development (SHRD) jointly organised a two-day conference on ‘HR can win’ for MBA students and HR personnel of various industries in the vicinity of the institution here on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, he requested HR personnel to consider Indian students from various institutes even they have less skills, as they can improve later as per the requirement of the industry. Rathaiah thanked the HR personnel from SHRD and their respective organisations for their contribution towards the uplift of youth and their families from the poor background by providing employment.

CEO of Vignan Group Pavan Krishna welcomed the HR personnel from SHRD and appreciated for their efforts and time towards this conference. MBA students and HR personnel from nearby industries will be benefited through this conference, he added.

Bhaskara Rao Ghantasala, HR from SHRD, chaired the session and Mukund Menon from SHRD suggested to the MBA students that they have to work with multiple generations in future and they have to learn ‘how to manage all age groups at workplace.

Suresh Kumar, Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy, Radhakrishna Murthy Madiraju, Prashanti Punnamaraju, Pavan Kumar VSS, Anil Kumar, Satish Babu V Suresh Samudrala, Shailesh Kumar, Srinivas Vedula, Ramakrishna GA, Ch Dakshina Murthy from SHRD acted as resource persons and they conduct sessions on ‘Workplace Challenges and HR’, ‘Essential Laws for a HR Manager’, ‘Millennial Perspective on HR Strategy’, ‘Open Space Technology’ and future mandates in ‘HR as Business Partner’, ‘Talent Acquisition Space’, ‘Employee Engagement’, ‘Industrial Relations’, ‘HR as a Philosophy’, ‘Talent Management’ during the conference. Principal of VIIT Dr Ch Narasimham and Principal of VIPT Y Srinivasa Rao also spoke.
