Srikakulam: Priority would be given to the common man to have darshan of Lord Surayanarayana Swamy at Arasavalli on Ratha Sapthami, said Collector K Dhanunjaya Reddy.

He reviewed arrangements for Ratha Sapthami at Arasavalli temple premises here on Sunday, along with officials. Speaking on the occasion, he said one lakh devotees are expected to visit the temple on January 24.

Queue lines, parking lots for VIPs, prasadam and ticket counters were set up separately, the Collector said. “To provide darshan to physically challenged, six battery vehicles were arranged to carry them near the temple,” said Joint Collector KVN Chakradhara Babu.

In addition to it, 35 CCTV cameras were installed at all important points, including Indra Pushkarini (holy tank) to prevent any untoward indcient. For clearing rush and to provide information on a quick pace, LED TVs were installed around the temple.

To provide primary treatment, if required, three medical camps were arranged, and two 108 vans would be kept ready,” said district medical and health officer Dr Sanapala Tirupathi Rao.

Srikakulam MLA G Laxmidevi called upon the officials and devotees to cooperate in making the . Srikakulam RDO B Dayanidhi, Srikakulam special branch DSPs V Bhima Rao, M KrishnaMurthy Naidu and police were present.
