Dog Show enthrals pet lovers
Dog Show organised by the Kennel Club at VRC (VR College) grounds in the city on Sunday attracted animal lovers and 185 dogs of 33 breeds participated in the show. Nellore Rural MLA K Sridhar Reddy inaugurated the show and said that there is a need to take care of them.

Dogs belonging to German Shepherded, Labrador Retriever, Rottweiler, Beagle, Bull dog, Golden Retriever, Great Dane, Doberman, Poodle, Dachshund, Chihuahua, Pug, Boxer, Chow Chow, Shih Tzu, Pomeranian dog breeds participated in the show and enthralled the viewers.
Dr M Venkata Swamy Reddy, Assistant Director of Veterinary Department and Technical Advisor of the Kennel Club said that they have been conducting the Dog Show since 1988 to encourage owners to keep their pets hygienic giving away prizes to the best ones.
He said studies say that pet owners have been free from cardiac diseases and they will be healthy due to playing with their pets. They have been conducting the show for every two years. Pet lovers across the district thronged to witness the dog show.
About 125 pets have participated in the show organised in 2016. Beegal, a breed which had won prize in 2016 had again participated in the show on Sunday. B.Pooja Karthik from Nellore, owner of the dog said that their pet had won first prize in 2016.
