  • Also assures to provide land with borewells to them
  • Accuses Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu of cheating all sections of people
  • Alleges that lands assigned to Dalits are being occupied by the State government

Also, Dalits will get land along with borewells in them. During the last day of his ‘Praja Sankalpa Yatra’ in Chittoor district, Jagan targeted Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for deceiving Dalits.

At a meeting at Pallamala near Sri Kalahasti, he commented that Naidu did PhD in cheating the people as no section or caste was an exception to this. He came down heavily on the Chief Minister and Ministers Adinarayana Reddy and Atchannaidu for their comments on Dalits.

Jagan alleged that lands assigned to SCs were being occupied by the government. “Though during the tenure of YS Rajasekhara Reddy, 32 lakh acres were distributed to 22 lakh Dalits, Chandrababu government was occupying them,” he said.

As the funds allocated for employment generation are being spent on construction of cement roads, poor people are being deprived of employment opportunities, Jagan said.

Dalit people and especially women have no security in the State and ‘Navarathnalu’ of YSRCP would turn into a boon for them, he said. To change the fate of Dalits, the youngsters in their families should become engineers and doctors, the Opposition leader said.

Earlier, Jagan began the 68th day of his ‘Praja Sankalpa Yatra’, by meeting the residents of Racha Nehru Street in Sri Kalahasti and proceeded to Thottambedu village. Tirupati MP V Varaprasad accompanied him. On Tuesday, Jagan’s yatra will enter Nellore district.
