The state government has released Rs 1 crore to provide free education facilities to all the residents of the Capital City area. The AP Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) has invited applications from the students for 2017-18 for tuition fee reimbursement.  

Amaravati: The state government has released Rs 1 crore to provide free education facilities to all the residents of the Capital City area. The AP Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) has invited applications from the students for 2017-18 for tuition fee reimbursement.

In a press release here on Wednesday, the APCRDA said students in capital city area, who are enrolled in technical, management and vocational courses, can apply for the scheme. The students, who got A category seats in engineering and polytechnic colleges, are eligible and they must have above 75 per cent of attendance.

The government issued a budget release of a total amount of Rs 70.50 crore for 2017-18 for meeting the expenditure through Capital Region Social Security Fund in which the scheme of free education to all the residents of capital city area is included.
