He flagged off the 3K Run held as part of the awareness programme related to the 8th National Voters Day on January 25, from the district Collectorate on Tuesday.

The DRO said that the youth born in 2000 were being called as Millennium Voters and asked them to register their vote and utilise the vote in the next elections. He informed that the people elected as their representatives as MLAs, MPs and ministers would make the acts for the public. He said that the vote was important right of youth and everyone should use it to elect the best candidates.

P Umar from Singarayakonda, A Sivanagi Reddy from J Panguluru and N Venkateswarlu from Elchuru completed the run in the first, second and third positions respectively to receive the Rs 3000, Rs 2000 and Rs 1000 as prizes. Sk Ruksana, T Tanmayi and U Anusha completed the run in first, second and third positions in women and received mementoes along with the candidates completed the run from 4th to 10th positions from the DRO. The District Education Officer, Subbarao, DSDO Yathiraj, physical directors and students from various colleges also participated in the 3K Run.
