Vijayawada: Of late, the capital city Amaravati is witnessing new trends not only in eating habits but also in lifestyle. Several local medium and small range entrepreneurs are introducing various innovative business ventures.

A private jobs consultancy firm has started delivering lunch boxes at the doorsteps in the city. The service was started at Benz Circle in the city. The service provider is not only supplying food but also preparing. It offers 15 days, monthly cards, along with daily orders. It charges Rs 100 for each carriage, said Bharathi, an executive of the service provider.

Similarly, another city-based entrepreneur launched Vijayawada Dabbawala service for supplying food packets or boxes to employees. The local businessmen introduced these new food services in the city in view of demand from Amaravati capital city. The entrepreneurs are thinking innovatively for creating a market for their ideas successfully.

One B Srinivasa Raju of Ramakrishnapuram in Vijayawada city started Vijayawada Dabbawala service drawing inspiration from Mumbai Dabbawala service like carrying and delivering of lunch boxes. The service was introduced two years ago for supplying carriages to employees at their door steps. The city- based new entrepreneur made efforts to introduce something new for citizens. He charges Rs 400 per month for delivering carriage.

Nearly, 120 customers are utilising the services from his establishment. More than 100 government offices were newly established in the city limits due to shifting of staff from Hyderabad to Vijayawada city. Several employees are utilising the services as per their convenience, the organisers said and added that now tiffin services are also being offered for employees.
