Nellore: Three persons died and 10 others were injured when a private bus rammed into a stationary lorry on the National Highway-16 at Maddurupadu near to Kavali in the early hours of Thursday . The dead were identified as Praneeth of Vijayawada, Ramadas of Rajamahendravaram and Surya Kumari of Eluru.
According to sources, a private bus was going to Bengaluru from Vizag with 31 passengers. When it reached Maddurupadu on the NH, the driver crashed into a lorry parked on the road side.
Three passengers of the bus died on the spot and 10 others received injuries. It is said that driver lost the control over the vehicle due to excessive speed. Police from Kavali shifted the injured passengers to area hospital.
