Rally held seeking steel plant in Kadapa
The Steel Plant Sadhana Samithi (SPSS) has organised a massive rally in the name of ‘march for steel plant’ in Proddatur town on Wednesday. The political parties and social organisations have extended support for the rally.
Kadapa: The Steel Plant Sadhana Samithi (SPSS) has organised a massive rally in the name of ‘march for steel plant’ in Proddatur town on Wednesday. The political parties and social organisations have extended support for the rally.
The rally began at Gandhi Road and concluded at Puttaparthi Circle passing through I-Town Circle, TB Road, Rajiv Circle and Sivalayam Circle. Addressing the rally, SPSS president G V Praveen Kumar Reddy has slammed the state and central governments for not taking initiative to set up steel plant in the district even though it was mentioned the AP Reorganisation Act.
He urged all political parties to put serious efforts for establishing the steel plant as it will provide direct and indirect employment to 1.5 lakh people. The SPSS leader flayed the Narendra Modi government for delaying the setting up plant by setting up committees. He stated that district has raw material in abundance and adequate infrastructure facilities needed for the steel plant.
