The state government is sending chairpersons and vice-chairpersons of urban development authorities in the state for a four-day study tour  from January 27 to January 30.

Rajamahendravaram: The state government is sending chairpersons and vice-chairpersons of urban development authorities in the state for a four-day study tour from January 27 to January 30. All of them will visit developed cities and towns in the country to study how the respective urban development authorities are executing development works.

Speaking to The Hans India here on Friday, Godavari Urban Development Authority (Guda) chairman Ganni Krishna said that the study tour would benefits chairpersons and vice-chairpersons of Udas a lot in implementing their programmes suitable to their cities and towns. The team will visit Mumbai on January 27 and 28, to be followed by Ahmedabad on January 29.

The study tour is being organised in two phases. In the first phase, urban development authority chairpersons and vice-chairpersons visit Mumbai and Ahmedabad metros. A 13-member team from Guda, Nellore Urban Development Authority, Kurnool Urban Development Authority, Tirupati Urban Development Authority, Puttparthi Urban Development Authority, Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority and Machilipatnam Urban Development Authority will participate in the tour.

In the second phase, remaining chairpersons and vice-chairpersons will visit Jaipur (Rajasthan), Panchakula (Haryana), Noida (Uttar Pradesh), said Ganni Krishna. Vuda vice-chairman Basant Kumar will head the first team.
