Vijayawada: Former Union Minister D Purandeswari reacting to the comments of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, she said the top leadership of two parties BJP and TDP would take a decision whether to continue the alliance or not. She interacted with the students of Potti Sriramulu Engineering Kalasala here on Friday.

Speaking to media persons, she said that the BJP was following coalition dharma. She said the state government was implementing the schemes of Union government by changing their names as its own. The Centre was releasing funds for developments of panchayats, she stated.

Answering to a query on defections of MLAs, she reminded the remarks of the late NTR that whoever wants to join Telugu Desam should resign first then only shift their loyalties. She said that she also wrote a letter to them whoever wants to join in other parties should resign for their posts.

She asserted that all the political parties should have equal responsibility to pass women’s reservation bill in Parliament. The recent decision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on triple talaq issue would benefit the Muslim women, she hoped. She also called upon the students to respect culture and stand on their feet.

The organisers of colleges should provide quality education with values, she said. The colleges should make the students to fight them bravely to protect their rights. College principal Dr K Nageswara Rao, committee president Ch Mallikarjuna Rao, treasurer K Venkateshwara Rao and the local leaders of BJP and students were also present.
