Liberate Hindu temples from govt control: Togadia
VHP leader Praveen Togadia has said that governments should not control Hindu temples. Speaking to media persons at Kanuru here on Friday night, he asked the governments why they were ruling the Hindu temples. The governments should give liberty to the temples. He also said the governments were getting revenue from temples.Â

He asked the government to remove other religions idols and portraits at Kotappakonda temple in Guntur district. He wondered how the other religions idols are allowed beside Hindu temples.
He also asked the leaders, who were extending support to setup idols of other religions at Hindu temples, could they do the same thing at Jamma Masid.
The government would face serious resistance from public, if it fails to remove idols of other religions, he warned. He would discuss the issue with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu also, he said. He reiterated that still he was facing life threat from some persons.
