Along with Amaranatha Reddy, Ministers P Narayana, and Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy inaugurated the ACB building complex at Mulapet on Saturday constructed a a cost of Rs 95 lakh.
Speaking to the media, Amaranatha Reddy made an appeal to people to strive for corruption-free society. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had sanctioned Rs 16 crore for permanent buildings for the ACB as there were no own offices to the department across the state.
Narayana said that the ACB building measuring 3,300 square feet here was constructed in a very short time. The Minister has appreciated the efforts of ACB Director General (DG) R P Thakur for constructing four own buildings for the ACB across the state. Somireddy stated that there is a need to control corruption cases in the state. People have to support in curbing corruption in the society, he added. The ACB DG said that they had constructed 4 new buildings across the state at a cost of Rs 10 crore.
He said they have been working with a standard operating system. The ACB caught corrupted officials in huge number during 2017, he said, adding that they were taking action with the help of 1100 call centre, the DG said.
Later, the Ministers planted saplings in the ACB building premises. District Collector R Mutyala Raju, Police Housing Corporation Managing Director K V Rajendra Prasad, ACB Additional DG P Hari Kumar, OSD Abraham, SP PHD Ramakrishna and others were present.
