Pulse Polio programme in Kadapa
As part of Pulse Polio Immunisation (PPI) programme, District Collector T Babu Rao Naidu has administered polio drops to the kids at Mandal Parishad Elementary School at Niranjan Nagar in the city on Sunday.
Kadapa: As part of Pulse Polio Immunisation (PPI) programme, District Collector T Babu Rao Naidu has administered polio drops to the kids at Mandal Parishad Elementary School at Niranjan Nagar in the city on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, he urged the people to bring their children voluntarily to immunisation centres with the aim of making Kadapa as polio less district. He said that as many as 3.17 lakh children below 5 years were identified across the district. As many as 2,980 centres are arranged for polio drops administration in the district covering even remote areas and 12,068 staff are deployed. Asha workers, Anganwadi workers and teachers were deployed for the programme ..
He said that staff would conduct door to door campaign for administering polio drops on 29th 30th January in the district. DM&HO Veenakumari, Joint Collector2 Siva Reddy and others were present.
