Accelerate development, beautification works

Kakinada: District Collector Kartikeya Mishra ordered the SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle) directors to accelerate the development and beautification works that are underway under different components under the Smart City project. Mishra convened the 10th meeting of the Board of Directors of smart city corporation limited at the Collectorate here on Monday evening.

Speaking on this occasion, he said that the board has taken a decision to construct sports stadiums that can be utilised at night time also. Mishra further ordered the officials to conduct brainstorming sessions with the people on the amenities that would come up in the smart city with the coordination of JNTU and RMC.

He further said that an advisory forum would be established for Kakinada smart city. He asked the officials to complete the beautification and developmental works at Gandhi Nagar and Vivekananda Parks by the end of March.

The Board of Directors has approved new logo for the Kakinada Smart City. Speaking on the occasion, Director Municipal Administration Kannababu suggested recruiting fulltime employees with necessary skills in the respective fields. Assistant Collector Anand, Municipal RD Sai Srikanth, Commissioner Siva Parvathi, SPV CEO Sujay, Directors G Ravindra, S Krishna Kumar and others took part.
