Keep parks neat & clean, civic chief tells residents

Kurnool: Municipal Corporation of Kurnool Commissioner CB Harinath Reddy said on Monday that it is the responsibility of every citizen to keep the parks clean besides protecting them, as they provide fresh air.

The civic chief participated in Swachh Sarvekshan programme organised in several colonies of Ramalingeswar Nagar here on Monday. Reddy stated that he was striving to transform Kurnool into clean city by constructing drains and roads and ensuring garbage collected from the houses and on roads.

He made whirlwind tour of several colonies in the city and inspected the developmental works. He interacted with the morning walkers at a park in Ramalingeswar Nagar. Harinath Reddy has assured residents of setting up a playing equipment for kids in the park.

He sought the cooperation of the colonies in taking up the developmental works. He also enquired about the vacant lands of Corporation with the civic officials. Later, he planted few tree saplings in the park at Ramalingeswara Nagar. Divisional Engineer Rajasekhar, Assistant Director Sujatha and various colony residents were present.
