Kuna Dhanunjaya Rao, an officer of Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE), 1991 batch, assumed the charge as the Additional Divisional Railway Manager of Waltair Railway Division of East Coast Railway on Tuesday. 

Visakhapatnam: Kuna Dhanunjaya Rao, an officer of Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE), 1991 batch, assumed the charge as the Additional Divisional Railway Manager of Waltair Railway Division of East Coast Railway on Tuesday.

K Dhanunjaya Rao has varied experience of over 26 years in the railways and served in various capacities in the South Eastern Railway,
East Coast Railway in various capacities.

During his tenure at Waltair Division, he played a vital role in the construction of Naupada-Gunupur gauge conversion line, construction of Vizianagaram-Kottavalasa third line, by-pass line connecting Duvvada from Simhachalam North, various development works at Visakhapatnam Railway Station, construction of limited height sub-ways in Palasa-Duvvada mainline, Rayagada-Vizianagaram line with new methods (cut and cover) with less traffic block that was done in record time.

Prior to his posting as ADRM, Waltair, he was ADRM of Sambalpur Division since October 2016. The outgoing ADRM Ajay Arora was transferred to Central Railway, Mumbai.
