In a shocking incident, a 22-year-old youngster committed suicide by jumping before a running train after he was beaten up by a local politician.
Kasibugga: In a shocking incident, a 22-year-old youngster committed suicide by jumping before a running train after he was beaten up by a local politician.
The incident occurred at Kasibugga in Srikakulam district on Tuesday. According to the police, the victim, who was identified as Harish, was a worker in a sweet shop in the town. Chakradhar, a local Councillor, along with his men came to the shop to purchase some sweets.
Chakradhar asked Harish to serve some sweets. After sometime, In a bid to try some more sweets, Chakradhar attempted to take a sweet with his right hand with which has been eating. Harish reacted to it and objected Chakradhar for taking sweets with the same hand. Furious over him, Chakradhar picked up argument with him and thrashed, abused him.
Insulted over being beaten up badly infront of public, Harish committed suicide by jumping before a running train. His body was later identified and a case has been registered against Chakradhar following a complaint lodged by the victim's father Venkatrao.
