Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu gave his nod for dispatch of 200 drones for the record and analyse the performance of all municipalities in the state.

Reviewing the progress of the municipal administration &urban development department at the Secretariat in the presence of Minister P Narayana, special chief secretary Satish Chandra, principal secretary R KarikalValaven and director of municipal administration K KannaBabu, the Chief Minister set a deadline of March 15 to submit the first report on footage of drones with analysis and rankings. This round will cover an area of 3,000 sq km, he added.

The officials informed Naidu that Shapoorji Pallonji will complete the underground drainage system by December and L&T will complete 444 kms of major and minor drains by November 1.

Housing programme
The Chief Minister said that 6,81,733 houses were sanctioned under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) scheme. Earlier, Naidu reviewed recent drone footage works going on in Rajahmundry, Nellore, Peddapuram, Bhimavaram, Palkol, Chilakaluripeta and Ponnuru. He instructed officials to strictly coordinate with the PrajaSadhikara Survey and update the database of beneficiaries.

Anna Canteen: Officials presented a report on the study conducted on Amma Canteens in Tamil Nadu and Indira Canteen in Bengaluru to successfully start Anna Canteens in Andhra Pradesh. They also presented 7 sample menus for 7 days, after thorough research in meals, nutrition and pricing.

“Just like how Indira Canteens have maintained cleanliness, and have gained immense popularity in Bengaluru, we should also maintain high standards of hygiene. Install surveillance cameras, biometric records and get feedback from public regularly,” said an official.
