Haribabu foresees bright future for city
BJP MP K Haribabu claimed that Visakhapatnam is the right choice to set up all categories of industries and start-up companies under Make in India campaign. The department of commerce and management studies of Andhra University conducted a workshop on ‘Make in India Growth Opportunities’ here on Wednesday.
Workshop on ‘Make in India’
Visakhapatnam: BJP MP K Haribabu claimed that Visakhapatnam is the right choice to set up all categories of industries and start-up companies under Make in India campaign. The department of commerce and management studies of Andhra University conducted a workshop on ‘Make in India – Growth Opportunities’ here on Wednesday.
He was the chief guest at the workshop. Speaking on the occasion, he said that Make in India concept is hundred per cent being implemented in Visakhapatnam. Over 85 world’s branded pharmaceutical manufacturing companies are successfully exporting their products from Visakhapatnam and another 200 companies came forward to start their industries in AP Medtech Zone which is aimed at manufacturing medical equipment in the country, he said.
The state government is likely to establish one industrial estate in each Assembly constituency to develop start-up companies. Hari Babu explained the objectives of Make in India concept and added that after Make in India slogan, the flow of Foreign Investments in the country were increased. President of Andhra Pradesh Chamber of Commerce G Sambasiva Rao predicted bright prospects for food processing sector in the country.
He called upon the management graduates to be aware of food industries than technology. He exhorted the youth to become entrepreneurs for the development of the country. Principal of Arts and Science Collage K Rammohana Rao and Registrar U Vumamaheswarao and Prof D Lalitha Rani also spoke.
