Shankara Netra Chikitsalaya to be opened by Vice President
Vice-President of India M Venkaiah Naidu will inaugurate Shankara Netra Chikitsalaya at Gayatri Nagar here on Friday, said its chairman Dr Nadella Vishnu Vardhan. Addressing the media persons here on Thursday, Vishnu Vardhan said the new premises of the Chikitsalaya would be inaugurated by the Vice-President along with renovated old Chikitsalaya hospital at Eluru through remote control.

He said that Lok Sabha Panel speaker Konakalla Narayana Rao would inaugurate Dr Vimmis Multivitamin products for children. He said that general ophthalmology and super speciality ophthalmology services were available at the Chikitsalaya under one roof.
Faco laser surgery for cataracts, latest advanced glaucoma treatment, paediatric ophthalmology, retina treatment for diabetic patients, lasik surgery, treatment for cornea, school health programme, free ambulance service for patients, 30 percent discount for senior citizens and children, low visual aids were available at the Chikitsalaya besides ambulance, blood bank, optical and mobile ophthalmology were available, he added.
Health Minister Dr Kamineni Srinivas, Irrigation Minister Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao, Sports Minister Kollu Ravindra and other MLAs and MPs would grace the occasion, he added. EHS and NTR Viadya Seva schemes would be available shortly. A privilege card was launched on the occasion. Faco surgeon N Swathi and others were present.
