Guntur: Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu appealed to leaders not to divide the society on caste and communal lines.

Addressing the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Pedanandipadu Arts and Science College premises on Saturday, he called upon the students to actively participate in social programmes and appreciated the college management for thinking about society.
He appealed to alumni to extend their cooperation for development of college.

Speaking on the occasion, he said some people think about future of the country and with a vision to set up education institutions. The Vice President stressed on the need to give respect to parents and teachers and exhorted the students community to save mother tongue.

Earlier, he went to Supreme Court Judge Lavu Nageswara Rao’s residence for breakfast. From there he came to the college on the bullockcart.Supreme Court Judge Justice Lavu NageswaraRao said he is highly fortunate as Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu came to his house.

Minister for social welfare Nakka Anand Babu, minister for medical and health Kamineni Srinivas, MP Galla Jayadev and Vignans Education Institutions chairman Lavu Rattaiah, were among those participated.
