Tirupati: With a slogan of ‘Power to poor,’ former MPs belong to Congress party Chinta Mohan and Harsha Kumar have organised a meeting at SV University on Sunday, wooing the student community to organise agitations on the lines of Osmania campus during the times of separate Telangana agitation, towards achieving the social change to rule the state.

The leaders observed that Periyar Ramaswamy brought in a social revolution in Tamil Nadu why not such thing happen in AP too. Chinta Mohan said that there was a need for a new face to rule the state as people were vexed up with the corrupt leaders like Chandrababu Naidu and YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

“Chandrababu has earned Rs 10,000 crore starting from just two acres whereas Jagan was deeply involved in corruption cases and going on padayatra. People have lost the confidence on both these leaders and were desperately looking for the emergence of a new leader,” Mohan maintained.

Saying that efforts were going on towards this direction and a meeting was recently held in Rajamahendravaram under the leadership of Harsha Kumar whereas the present meeting was second in the series with the third one is slated for Visakhapatnam.

“The state’s next Chief Minister would come from any section which has never seen the power so far. He may be from OBC or Kapu community who will have a clean image,” he underlined. After bifurcation, Jagan community was remained with two per cent in population whereas Chandrababu community was only four per cent.

“Together they both representing just six per cent of population of entire state and how can they rule the majority communities in state,” asked Mohan. Amalapuram MP Harsha Kumar also spoke in the meeting. Leaders representing various communities were present.
