MITS signs memorandum of understanding with Taiwan varsity
The Madanapalle Institute of Technology and Science in Chittoor district has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Asia University, Wufeng district, Taichung City, a leading university of Taiwan, MITS Principal Dr. C Yuvaraj told a press meet on Sunday.
Tirupati: The Madanapalle Institute of Technology and Science in Chittoor district has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Asia University, Wufeng district, Taichung City, a leading university of Taiwan, MITS Principal Dr. C Yuvaraj told a press meet on Sunday.
This initiative is to further MITS’s vision of becoming a globally recognised research and academic organisation and cater to the challenging needs of society and industrial world.
Both institutions have agreed to cooperate in taking up joint research and training programmes for faculty and students. They will cooperate in designing academic programme and jointly hosting international research conferences/seminars/symposia.
The MoU is significant as Taiwan is one of India’s largest trade partners and is known for its expertise in semi-conductor fabrication, construction, infrastructure and manufacture of mobile/medical devices.
MITS will be an important academic and research partner of Asia University in future. This initiative will enable MITS students to travel to Taiwan and to take up research and paid internships and pursue higher studies.
MITS has ample scope for mini-projects and internships so as to enable students to significantly get hands-on opportunities and industrial exposure. The academic talent of MITS is one of the core reasons that Asia University has entered into MoU, Prof. Yuvaraj added.
