Municipal administration & urban development minister P Narayana has inspected the houses being constructed under Housing for All and NTR Urban Housing programme in Kadapa city, Proddatur and Yerraguntla mandals in the district on Sunday.
Kadapa: Municipal administration & urban development minister P Narayana has inspected the houses being constructed under Housing for All and NTR Urban Housing programme in Kadapa city, Proddatur and Yerraguntla mandals in the district on Sunday.
After inspecting infrastructure facilities at industrial estate in Kadapa city, the minister expressed satisfaction over the constructions. Narayana said the houses constructed during the Congress regime were not suitable for living as they were built by utilising substandard material.
He said the government is taking all initiatives in constructing the houses by using high quality material with sheer wall technology. He recalled the Central team which recently inspected the Housing for All Scheme in Odisha, Tamil Nadu and AP has appreciated government of its initiative in constructing structures with full-fledged facilities.
Narayana said the Central government has allocated 6,81,000 houses against requirement of 9,00,000 houses in the state and directed the officials and contractors to ensure completion of one block by February 24 as government is firm on inaugurating the houses by February-end.
On the occasion, the minister also inspected G+3 apartments constructed under Rajiv Gruha Kalpa programme. When the minister interacted with the inmates V Bhaqrathi, M Guramma and A Viswanath over facilities being provided to them, they complained the minister that there was no proper amenities in colony.
The minister directed the officials to clear the bushes and heap of garbage and restore drainage facility immediately. Kadapa Municipal Corporation in-charge commissioner and joint collector B Siva Reddy and TDP district president Srinivasulu Reddy were present.
