Nellore: YSR Congress President YS Jaganmohan Reddy ridiculed the Members of Parliament of ruling party who staged protests in the national capital for not allocating adequate funds for the state. He asked what they were doing when the budget was introduced in the House.

There is no meaning in their saying that they were not aware of allocations for the bifurcated state and questioned the significance of presence of the MPs in the House.

Jaganmohan Reddy, as part of his Praja Sankalpa Yatra, reached to Buchireddypalem on Monday and addressed a public meeting at mandal headquarters. He said there was confusion among the common people why the Chief Minister, Ministers, MPs and others are creating a melancholic scenario for not allocating funds to the state.

“Your MPs and Union ministers were very much present in the House and you are part of the coalition government. Five budgets were presented in the Parliament after forming the government. The budget details are discussed at the cabinet meeting and then it is introduced in Parliament.

Naturally, MPs from TDP also participate in the process. Now, why you are all crying that you just came to know about the allocations only now and you are playing dramas,” asked Jagan. Jagan said a witty story on melodrama of the Parliament members.

“There was a juvenile delinquent whom the police present before the Judge as part of hearing. He started crying saying he was not having even parents and asked the Judge for excuses. Judge innocently asked the Police why they had brought the orphan and presented him in the Court.

The Public Prosecutor said unemotionally that the boy who was crying had killed his parents and that was the reason for bringing him to the Court. Now, Chandrababu is such an accused like the boy who acted in the Court,” Jagan explained. He said the CM had failed to prevent the proceedings in House through his members and now creating nonsense after the process was over.

“The Chief Minister is the culprit for not getting SCS, Dugarajapatnam Port, and pathetic condition of Polavaram works and many others. Representatives of Andhra Pradesh Electricity Meter Readers Association met the YSR Congress chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy near Jonnawada and explained their grievances.

They lamented that they have been working for last 20 years as contract employees and are getting very less salaries. They urged him to regularise them as electricity employees and provide them equal pay for equal work and abolish piece system.

Jagan assured them that he would conduct a comprehensive study on the issue and help them once his party forms government. Further, YSR congress announced its support and express solidarity with the communist parties who plan to organise state bandh on Feb 8 against Union government’s negligent attitude towards AP.
