The TTD geared up for the twin annual festivals at the famous sub-temples of Sri Kapileswara Swamy in Tirupati and Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy at Srinivasa Mangapuram which will commence with Dhwajarohanam on Tuesday, said Tirumala JEO Srinivasa Raju, who is also at present in-charge of Tirupati jurisdiction.

Tirupati: The TTD geared up for the twin annual festivals at the famous sub-temples of Sri Kapileswara Swamy in Tirupati and Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy at Srinivasa Mangapuram which will commence with Dhwajarohanam on Tuesday, said Tirumala JEO Srinivasa Raju, who is also at present in-charge of Tirupati jurisdiction.

After inspecting the arrangements at both the temples, speaking to media at Srinivasa Mangapuram, the JEO said, both the temples under the umbrella of TTD are considered to be most important. While the annual Brahmotsavams at Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy will conclude on February 14 and at Sri Kapileswara Swamy on February 15.

The JEO said, akin to Tirumala Brahmotsavams, the Lord Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy will take celestial ride on different vahanams both in morning and in the evening. Garuda Seva falls on February 10, Swarna Ratham on February 11, Rathotsavam on February 13 and Chakrasnanam on February 14 which are considered to be most important days here.

The devotees from surrounding villages takes part in large numbers and TTD has made elaborate arrangements for the same with a concrete traffic plan", he added.

The JEO also briefed on Nandi Vahanam about the auspicious day of Maha Sivaratri on February 13 is considered to be very important in the temple as tens of thousands of people converge on this day. “All the arrangements including security are in place for this big day,” he maintained.
