The annual NavahnikaBrahmotsavams in the famous temple of Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy at Srinivasa Mangapuram, 15km from Tirupati took off to a ceremonial start on Tuesday with the traditional Dhwajarohanam which took place in the auspicious Kumbha Lagnam.

Tirupati: The annual NavahnikaBrahmotsavams in the famous temple of Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy at Srinivasa Mangapuram, 15km from Tirupati took off to a ceremonial start on Tuesday with the traditional Dhwajarohanam which took place in the auspicious Kumbha Lagnam.

Speaking on this occasion, TTD EOAnil Kumar Singhal has said that the temple has a marvelous historical background and was brought under the control of TTD in the year 1967. The annual Brahmotsavams of thistemple are organisedon par with Tirumala every year.

``TTD has made elaborate arrangements for this grand religious fete as tens of thousands of devotees from Tirupati, SrinivasaMangapuram and other villages take part in the Vahanasevas during the mega religious festival", he said.

Meanwhile the floral decorations with the concept of Adiparasakti Devi with Trinity - Lord Brahma, the creator, Lord Maha Vishnu, the Protector and Lord Siva, the Destroyer - offering prayers to the Mother Goddess with different varieties of flowers remains as special attraction during the Brahmotsavams.

Tirumala JEO KS Sreenivasa Raju, who is also the present in-charge of Tirupati JEO, Additional CVSO Sivakumar Reddy, DyEO Venkataiah and other temple staff were present.
