Nellore: Local BJP leaders criticised the ruling TDP for its failure to recover huge legitimate dues from the TS government following the State bifurcation. They interacted with the media at party office here on Tuesday and condemned attacks on Party MLC Somu Veerraju saying the TDP leaders were having no basic idea on assurances made during bifurcation. They criticised the protests planned by the Community parties on February 8.

“After bifurcation, the State government had to collect dues of Rs 59,932 crore from properties, bank balances and deposits in Hyderabad. Why ruling party leaders and the Communist parties were not demanding them. They are cheating the people with false statements instead of striving hard for recovering the dues from AP Reorganisation Act.

We have every right to use Hyderabad till 2024 and no one asks for it,” said Midathala Ramesh, State executive member of the BJP. The BJP leaders criticised the TDP government stating that though they had availed funds to the tune of Rs 1,500 crore from the Union government for Raj Bhavan and High Court, still the allocations were not spent. BJP leaders Venu and others were present.
