Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Employees Joint Action Committee (JAC) will stage protest on February 10 demanding that the state government scrap the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) and solve the employees’ problems. A meeting was held in this regard at AP NGO’s office on Wednesday attended by AP employees JAC leaders.

Speaking on the occasion, AP Employees JAC chairman P Ashok Babu said that earlier the employees had staged protests against the government to scrap the CPS policy and solve the employees’ problems at mandal-level and on February 10, the employees would stage protests at district headquarters all over the state in a big way.

He said the State government should immediately address the CPS policy, in wake of the employees’ future and implement the old pension policy. It was not correct on the part of state government leaving the issue to the central government to solve it, he said. Ashok Babu mentioned that Kerala government had already sent a proposal to the Centre seeking to resolve the issue.
