In a blistering attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu at the district CPI conference here on Wednesday where he was the chief guest, the CPI leader said that they took the people of Andhra Pradesh for a ride by making false promises during 2014 elections only to leave them in the lurch now.
Condemning the attitudes of the state and central governments, the Left parties have given a call for a statewide bandh to which the YSRCP and Congress parties too extending their support.
Speaking on the occasion, Ramakrishna said that PM Modi had promised to bring back the black money within 100 days, but nothing has been done till now. Around 30 persons have lost their lives with the brutal attacks of “Gau Rakshak,” he lamented.
Out of 30 killed, 24 of them belonged to minorities and the remaining were Hindus. Ramakrishna also lashed out at Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley for giving a raw deal to Andhra Pradesh. Even the revenue deficit of Rs 16,000 crore due to bifurcation was not sanctioned, he slammed.
The CPI leader called upon the people to join in large numbers and make the bandh a grand success. CPI party leaders K Jagannath, Manohar Manikyam, SN Rasool, Lenin, Muneppa, Ramakrishna and others were present on the occasion.
