According to the police, Gangisetty Swamy Raju, a tailor by profession owned two motorbikes of Honda Activa and Glamour bikes. On Tuesday night, his son-in-law had parked his motorbike in the compound of Swamy Raju.

After midnight, their neighbours raised an alarm saying that the bikes were engulfed in flames. The inmates immediately tried to come out of the house. However, as the flames from the motorbikes spread out, they called the fire brigade from Tanuku, which reached the colony and put out the flames. However, the three bikes turned into ashes. They lodged a complaint with the Town-police.

Police said that some unknown miscreants have set ablaze the vehicles. They found a liquor bottle on the spot. A case has been registered in Tanuku police station.
