Bandh peaceful
Bandh observed peacefully across the district on Thursday following the call given by the YSRCP, Left parties and others in protest against the Central government for allocating meagre funds to the state in the budget.
Vizianagaram: Bandh observed peacefully across the district on Thursday following the call given by the YSRCP, Left parties and others in protest against the Central government for allocating meagre funds to the state in the budget.
They intercepted the RTC bus services across the district. A huge number of opposition leaders staged dharnas in front of RTC bus stands. All the schools and colleges remained closed. Kurupam YSRCP MLA P Pushpa Srivani took part in a rally and alleged that the Central government betrayed the people of the state.
Interestingly, TDP MLA of S Kota K Lalitha Kumari also participated in bandh. TDP MLC S Vijayaramaraju supported the bandh and appealed to the public to support their party for the development of the state. During this bandh, police arrested the CPM and CPI leaders.
