The Chairman, Economic Advisory Council (EAC) to the Prime Minister and member, NITI Aayog Bibek Debroy visited newly established Model Career Centre (MCC) at Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha (RSVP) in Tirupati on Thursday.

Tirupati: The Chairman, Economic Advisory Council (EAC) to the Prime Minister and member, NITI Aayog Bibek Debroy visited newly established Model Career Centre (MCC) at Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha (RSVP) in Tirupati on Thursday.

The Vice-Chancellor Prof V Muralidhara Sharma briefed about the inception and functioning of MCC. He told that “the MCC has been established under the National Career Service scheme of Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government on India and functional since September 2017.

The MCC acts as an employment exchange where job seekers and employers can come together to fulfil their requirements. The centre caters to the employment needs of Sanskrit students in addition to the job seekers of Tirupati and nearby areas. There are also plans to conduct job fairs in the future.”

Bibek Debroy appreciated the team and interacted with the trainees visiting the MCC and undergoing employability skills training done in association with the BOSCH under CSR activity. The trainees mentioned that they come to get skills and become employable for jobs. They also mentioned that this is the best quality training at free of cost and that is why they come to the centre.

The other officials, who were present during the visit was – the Registrar of Vidyapeetha, Prof Ch P Satyanarayana; the Sahitya Akademi award recipient and senior faculty of Vidyapeetha Prof Rani Sadasiva Murthy, the co-ordinator of the MCC Dr V Ramesh Babu, the Centre’s young professional Padmavathi and others. He also visited Alphabet Gallery along with Vice-Chancellor.
